What is Sustainable Tourism?
This is a kind of travel attitude that consciously
sees the traveler and the industry player as part
of the world’s collective. Responsible tourism,
ecotourism, cultural tourism - everything boils down
to experiencing and understanding, and even capitalizing
on just enough of nature and culture, and making sure
future generations get to have the same thing, or
even more.
Sustainable Tourism is about being responsible, concerned
and aware. It transcends race and income – it
upholds communities, respects traditions, conserves
nature and relishes interactive experience…
so the world would continue to live.

Sustainable Tourism development meets the needs
of the present tourists and host regions while protecting
and enhancing the opportunity for the future. It
is envisaged as leading to management of all resources
in such a way that economic, social and aesthetic
needs can be fulfilled, while maintaining cultural
integrity, essential ecological processes, biological
diversity and life support systems (From the
UN Environment Programme on Tourism).
