A note for history: The first session of Destination: PiliPinas was held last July 2009 in Travel Club TriNoma with the theme, How Deep is Your Love?

We featured Chen Mencias of Blue Water Consultancy (for Diving 101) and Ms. Gigi Santos of the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving (For Diving Spots in the Philippines). Dr. Hildie Nacorda of the UP-MSI also came and shared her experience with the NatGeo team in the making of the documentary, Into the Abyss.

We also showed Into the Abyss - the second time it's been screened for Filipinos since Earth Day 2009, prior to the Celebrate the Sea events.
